etch resist on my arms

It’s Week 10, so I’ve been pretty solidly stressed-out and at wit’s-end for a while now, but I was in an oddly good mood this afternoon/evening… anyway, finishing up my final metals project, and wanted to do some etching – my experience with metals is limited (though it’s been a great quarter learning)… and etching sounds cool, my exposure to it is pretty much limited to the special features on the Lord of the Rings DVDs talking about how all that amazing stuff was made.

So I was painting on etch-resist in class tonight, and scratching it off where I want the acid to etch… so of course I got etch resist all over my arms.

WhaAAHH!

More to come later.

Running a bit behind, been busy working and not updating my blog. However, having a crisis of productivity, so I thought I’d post a little somethin-somethin up here – my belt buckle that I finished in Metals a few weeks back finally got a belt today. Check it out.

Arr!

For my metalworking course, have to do a simple piece first, no welding… so I’m doing a belt buckle. And what would be better than a piratey belt buckle. It’ll be a layered piece, riveted together… I’m really quite excited about it, thought it may be a lot of precision cutting. Getting feedback in class tonight, so we’ll see…
